Watercolor on Yupo paper is a fun and dynamic medium.  Yupo is a plastic paper.  When watercolors are applied, they do not absorb into the paper at all.  They can be lifted off completely.  This allows for an entirely different painting experience where interesting textures and fine details can emerge.

In this workshop we will experience a variety of techniques to create different effects with this exciting, playful medium.  Each participant will have the opportunity to create several pieces.  We will learn how to:

• Create water features using flowing water interacting with paint
• Remove paint to create shapes and form
• Allow the medium to inform the final artwork
• Experiment and play with the medium
• Apply paint to create dynamic form
