The 5-day workshop is designed to immerse you in the practice of woodcarving with small power tools, hand tools, and various wood finishing methods.

Crystal Lockwood will share her extensive knowledge of woodcarving techniques with you as each class member investigates finding the figure in a piece of aged driftwood. Each day, she will show you how to work with Mother Nature, and learn to listen to the “soul” of the tree. She will guide you from the rough to the refined form. From concept to finished form, mounted on a stone base, your time with Crystal will inspire you to continue your creative pursuits in sculpture.
